Interactions
At the heart of early childhood education are the relationships we build, those gentle, everyday moments of connection with children that shape a thriving learning community.
This course is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the power of our words, our presence, and the way we listen. Together, we’ll celebrate the art of meaningful interaction - where respect, empathy, and genuine connection come to life in our practice and help every child feel seen, heard, and valued.
What you'll learn:
- What do positive and respectful interactions actually look and feel like?
Understand your role in modelling and engaging in responsive and engaging interactions, supporting the development of confident, capable, and curious learners.
- What is the difference between interaction and interruption?
Unpack the fine line between stepping in to genuinely support play and stepping in because of adult habits, routines, or discomfort.
- What is scaffolding in interactions?
Explore practical strategies for interactions that scaffold learning and encourage thinking, supporting children to become more confident and independent.
