ABOUT THE COURSE

This is a recording of a live online event we did with Heather Shumaker on 1st July 2020. Upon purchasing, you will be welcomed into the course. You will then be able to watch the recording of the session and complete an assessment/reflection.

What will I learn from the course?

“Be nice and share!” We’ll look at young children's sharing squabbles, forced sharing, and better ways to foster generosity in young children. Heather Shumaker, author of the classic book IT’S OK NOT TO SHARE, offers insights on sharing, long turns, and a way out for you to stop being the constant judge and referee. Heather Shumaker is an author and early childhood speaker. Her renegade parenting books, It’s OK Not to Share and It’s OK to Go Up the Slide, promote play, risk-taking, and emotional and social learning and have been translated into French, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, and other languages. Heather is also a children’s fiction author. The Griffins of Castle Cary is an award-winning adventure for kids ages 8-12. Find her Fiction Friday videos on YouTube and weekly podcast Renegade Rules.
